Fees

For Language Tuition & Conversational Classes:

We normally charge a set hourly fee of £25.00 for a one-to-one tuition if the class is to be held at the tutor’s premises; however, should the class be held at the client’s premises and depending on distance, a further £5 to £10 fee might be incurred to reflect mileage expense and time spent travelling.
The cost of the tuition includes the preparation work and all educational material.
Should there be more than one participant in the class, then a reduction in price per student would be offered on application.
Blocks of 6 lessons payable in advance may also benefit from a special discount.
Language tuition and conversational classes may also be carried out using modern technology such as Skype and Web Cameras for distant learners.

For Translations:

Whilst we aim at offering competitive, honest and transparent pricings on translations, we must stress the fact that pricing depends on the level of complexity of the document to be translated.
The nature of the language itself is to be considered. Typically, Western European languages tend to be less costly, whereas more “exotic” languages such as Mandarin Chinese, Japanese or Arabic will be more expensive due to the complexity of the characters and the rarity of proficient translators in these languages.
The time-frame allowed to carry out the translation is also to be taken into account in the pricing. A project that needs to be delivered urgently may carry up additional costs to our usual rates.
Conversely, should you already have a translation done by yourself or by another translator and would like us to proof-read and edit it, then we could provide you with lower rates than the ones we would normally apply for full translations.
For all the reasons stated above, we regret we are unable to provide set prices for translating services on our website and would recommend you to contact us directly with your translation enquiry so we could give you an accurate quote.
Please note that the same applies to our Interpreting services as pricing will depend on the language involved, the type of speech to be translated, the location and nature of the interaction etc.
Therefore, should you have a specific interpreting need you would like to discuss, we would advise you to call us so we may best assist you.

For Administrative work:

Prices vary from just £8 an hour to £20, depending on the complexity and the urgency of the work required. For example, basic copy typing is priced lowest and more complex jobs such as marketing consultancy work being most expensive.

We do not charge VAT
We accept payment by Cash, Cheques (backed by a Credit Card), BACS transfers & Pay Pal. Payment in Euros is also acceptable. We regret we are unable to accept payments by Credit / Visa cards at present.
Payments are made upon receipt of invoice, usually within 7 days of the work having been carried out but credit terms of 30 days may be negotiated under special provisions.
For translation works, we may charge a deposit upfront depending on the length of the document to be translated.
For cancelled lessons with less than 24 hours’ notice, a full charge will be made
Travel expenses of 45 p per mile may be charged for appointments made at a client’s premises
